Happy Holidays

December 22, 2007

First I would like to say “Happy Holidays” to those who celebrate any holidays.

Our holidays are going ok. DH was upset because he didn’t think that I got him anything. Boy does that man know how to ruin a surprise. We’ll see how surprised he is when he sees that I did get him something. Hahaha.

I love being on a CT. It seems to be giving me some creativity. I just made a gift for a dear friend. I will have to upload it soon.

I am slowly attempting to create my own kit. And when I say slowly, I do mean slowly. I have to think of what I want my kit to look like. I’m still mulling that over.

I’m hoping the my FIL’s gift will be done on time. I got email confirmation that it’s complete, but was to give up to 2 weeks for delivery! WHAT?!?!?! When I placed my order, the website said that orders placed on the 11th would be ready by the 24th. I hope it is in. We need it by the 28th. If I don’t get it, I will not be happy. I want to see how it turns out. If it is nice, then I will definitely consider making more gifts like this for others. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed.

New Horizons – Kiki’s CT

December 6, 2007

I am trying to expand my horizons, hone my talents, call it what you will. Kiki Halbert invited me to be a guest member of her creative team. It’s exciting. Basically, the CT will take her kits and make layouts. I did my first layout from her Firestorm kit.

I’m happy with it. I snapped the pictures of the squirrel when I was at the park during my couple days of vacation. I just have to create 2 more layouts.

I’ve also got to figure out what to use in a layout for FIL’s gift. We want to do a photo cutting board. I’m busy copying the pics from the EHD to DVD’s because DH says that the EHD is dying. Funny, I had no problems with it today. Oh well. Knowing him, he just wants something new, and probably bigger. I’d just wish he’d realize that he’s not his dad and we don’t have the money that they do. I’ll stop before I get frustrated.

OK. Here we are over a week later with no reply from Shutterfly. And of course, that means no prize. What type of customer service is that? Geez people. I thought about using them for some printing stuff, but if they’re not going to have good customer service, why would I want to do so? Does anyone have stories about Shutterfly to change my mind?

Last night I knocked out a Christmas card for a friend. She was very happy with it. I would say not bad for a spur of the moment…

I did a Christmas card for a friend last year, but I’m not sure where it is. Now I need to get on making those other Christmas gifts that I want to give to people. Luckily, for my FIL’s present I have a little bit longer because we aren’t seeing them until the end of December. But then again, I do have to consider the Christmas rush on all picture products. I’m hoping that print time won’t be too long.
