So this weekend was my two family photoshoots. I’m pretty much done editing the first session and have to move on to the second session. I don’t want to post any peeks until they’ve had time to look at them, oh and ah and all that jazz. Now I’m sure they’re not 100% professional, but I can only get better with practice.

Looks like one of my sis’s friends wants to see if we would take pics of their cheerleading crew. 30 girls, 3 squads. DH was willing to shoot it alone, but I think it’s definitely a 2 person job. He obviously wants to bite more than he can chew. If we do this, it will take us to a WNL (whole nutha level). We’ll have to make picture packages and have them printed. I guess maybe I should start the research phase. LOL my fortune cookie that I traded with another guy at lunch was right. “Your talents will be recognized.” Now we’ll see about my interview tomorrow…wish me luck!

I’m one day closer to my weekend photoshoots. There’s still so much to do that I haven’t gotten finished, yet. I need to get a model release done and printed to take with me. I need to print out pose ideas so it will be easier to explain to my clients what I want them to do.

I did go out and scout one location today. It’s beautiful out there. They have a pond and bridges and paths and fields. While I was out there another photographer was shooting a couple. I actually got some ideas from watching them. Now I just have to learn to be assertive and give directions.

Can someone tell me what has changed about me in less than a year? Right now my blog seems so blah. But then I went back to January, and guess what??? I think I was a hoot. I was witty…oh and I posted a video!!! Have I become jaded or is there more inside I just have to dig out??? Will anyone stay tuned long enough to find out?

So far I’ve only done one assignment, but I feel like Erin being my mentor is a good thing. She’s very thorough in her explanation of things. I’m sure DD will get tired of being my subject, so I’ve got to find something/someone else to photograph or brush up on my bribery skills. She’s already getting to spend the night and possibly weekend at my mom’s this weekend, so she’s ahead on that one. She’s excited, too. Since school has started she hasn’t had much opportunity to spend the night.
