So today, after a pretty sleepless night, instead of doing the logical thing of taking a nap, I went on a photo adventure in the backyard. And on my adventure, I saw one lone dandelion. The light was hitting it just perfectly. It had a seed dangling from the edge, ready to release it’s grasp and float away on a gentle breeze, should one happen to blow by.

I steadied myself down on its level and snapped away. I reveled in the purity of the moment and the perfection of the picture. Then, in the background…it’s Bubbsaliscious!

“Whatcha doin’, Mommy?”

“Taking a picture of this flower. It’s a dandelion.”

“A dandelion?”

“Yes, a dandelion.”

“Hello, Mister Dandelion.”

“We blow the seeds off them and make a wish.”

“Hmmmmmm….”

“Oh no, we BLOW the seeds!”

“Nom, nom, nom.”

“Oh, hi Mommy!”

“Mommy, did you see that sad little dandelion over there?”

“Yes, Brewster, I did.”
